A pasta lab beneath a 1923 date stone
Farina trades from the ground floor of a stone-fronted building on Tarleton Street whose upper façade carries the carved date A.D. 1923, above tall arched windows. It sits at the corner of Richmond Street, on the edge of Williamson Square, in the same block as the Italian Quarter's caffè, gelateria and brunch room.
Williamson Square, laid out in the mid-18th century, is one of the oldest public squares in Liverpool city centre. Today its corner of Tarleton Street is one of the busiest Italian addresses in the city, with terraces spilling onto the pedestrianised street.
Since its relaunch in September 2025 the kitchen has worked as a pasta lab: farina, the Italian word for flour, becomes fresh pasta, focaccia and pinsa by hand every day, in view of the dining room.
