A Sicilian welcome on one of Liverpool's seven original streets
Carlisi trades from a Victorian shopfront at 92–94 Dale Street, its turquoise frames set between polished granite columns with carved capitals. Dale Street was one of the seven original streets of the borough created by King John's charter of 1207, and was later rebuilt as the commercial spine of the Victorian port city.
The venue is run by the Carlisi brothers, who are Sicilian. Their food draws on the family kitchen: arancini, focaccia, mortadella and burrata, cannoli and cassata, served alongside espresso, spritzes and a gin named after Agrigento, the family's home town.
In 2023 the brothers opened a second Carlisi at 57 Allerton Road, taking the same food, coffee and cocktails to south Liverpool.
