A Victorian dock road pub on Wapping

The Baltic Fleet was built in 1860 and was listed at Grade II on 14 March 1975. Historic England describes a two-storey building of roughcast and stone under a slate roof, with frontages to Wapping, a curved three-bay corner, Hurst Street and Cornhill, giving the pub its narrow flat-iron plan.

The ground floor has round-arched windows divided by Tuscan pilasters; the first-floor windows sit in moulded architraves with pediments, some with carved tympana, and the corners are marked by paired pilasters beneath a bracketed cornice. The pub stands on the dock road opposite the Albert Dock and describes itself as a traditional Victorian dock road pub.
